47% of the young people interviewed consider that violent radicalisation is widespread in their country and 42% believe that this phenomenon will spread over the next few years. The presentation of the survey’s first results will provide insights into this escalating division and hostility in society by answering the following questions: What are the values of young Europeans (peace, justice, respect for human life, individual freedom)? Are they satisfied with their life, the situation in their country and in the world? Do they feel discriminated against? Do they trust the media and to what extent are they exposed to hate speech and conspiracy theories?

Within the framework of the European research project Practicies H2020 Kantar Public Brussels has conducted a groundbreaking survey among young Europeans (14-24 year-olds) in twelve countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal and the Czech Republic. The survey was carried out online in February-March 2018 via the Research Now panel and involved a representative sample of 12,000 people.
